High Hotels, Ltd. Breaks Ground for Tenth Hotel
Lancaster, Pa., September 3, 2002 – High Hotels, Ltd. announces the groundbreaking of the new 134 room Courtyard by Marriott hotel located on Crystal Run Crossing in Middletown, NY. The ceremony marks the beginning of the first Marriott franchised hotel as well as the tenth hotel to be owned and operated by High Hotels, Ltd. of Lancaster, Pa., an affiliate of High Industries, Inc. Greenfield Architects, Ltd., also an affiliate of High Industries, Inc., designed the layout for the new Courtyard hotel.
Known as "The Hotel Designed by Business Travelers", there are more than 550 Courtyard hotels worldwide. Recently Marriott launched a major effort to reinvent the designs for the lobby and guestrooms of the Courtyard hotel to deliver on future needs of travelers. The new Middletown Courtyard by Marriott will be one of the first hotels to feature this new updated lobby and guestroom design. The new hotel is scheduled to open for guests by the summer of 2003.
